In the book
Path, the subjective and objective aspects of the installation PATH come together, through the interaction of text and images. The book is suggestive of the role of memory when reconstructing expertence; of how tactile elements fuse to form a whole, determined by the structure of the installation and the more abstract experiences of each individual encountering the work.
Elín Hansdóttir (b. 1980) has in recent years focused on large installations, wich are generally based on spatial investigations. She lives and works in Berlin.
Rebecca Solnit (b. 1961) lives and works in San Francisco. Her best known works include Wanderlust and A Fieldguide to Getting Lost.
