Harpa Árnadóttir
Not an ordinary book, June is rather like a collection of newly painted watercolours and journal pages slipped into a folder, a pile of enchanting texts and images that describe the daily experience of nature and the environment and what makes summer summer: cotton grass, butterflies and buttercups.
Harpa Árnadóttir was born in 1965. After studying history and literature at the University of Iceland, she studied at the Icelandic School of Art and Crafts and completed a postgraduate course at the Valand School of Fine Art in Gothenburg, Sweden. Harpa was awarded 1. price "Unga Tecnkare 1995" at the Nationalmuseum in Stockholm Sweden for her drawings.
