Frontiers of Another Nature, Pictures from Iceland
Frontiers of Another Nature – Pictures from Iceland is a unique selection of the works of 50 Icelandic photographers spanning 150 years. It examines how the photographic arts are essential to examine individual derivations, which constitute the complexities of Icelanders undeniable relationship to their natural environment. Playful and innovative connections between historical pictures and contemporary works of photo media artists introduce the ambiguous environments in which the photographers themselves investigate and build visual narratives around the expanse of land, or the loss of it.
