About Crymogea
Crymogea Publishers were established in 2007 by Snæbjörn Arngrímsson and Kristján B. Jónasson, who is also Publishing Director.Crymogea publishes books on photography, art and design. Crymogea works with outstanding photographers and artists and has been awarded several times for the design of their books.

In collaboration with the Dungal foundation, Crymogea is publishing a book series on contemporary artists. Other collaborators are the National Gallery of Iceland, Nordatlantens Brygge in Copenhagen, Reykjavík Art Museum, i8 gallery, The Icelandic Design Centre and more.

Crymogea means Iceland. Arngrímur Jónsson "the learned" (1568-1658) chose this Greek translation of the countries name as the title for his principal publication, Crymogaea sive rerum Islandicarum libri III, that was first published in Hamburg in 1609. Arngrímur Jónsson is the protector of Crymogea Publishers.

Crymogea operates a shop and gallery at Barónsstígur 27 in Reykjavík, Iceland, and has a distribution network in Europe, Asia and nord- and south America.
